You might be wondering what therapy involves. In general, therapy is a tool for life, and an introspective adventure that’s all about you. Therapy simply begins with a conversation so that your therapist can connect with your experience and assess your needs. Over time various treatment methods are applied to help you establish a stronger, healthier relationship within yourself, and within different areas of your life.

Dynama Psychology exists to help you find power in mental health. Our time together provides a safe harbor where you are encouraged to pause, reflect, and deeply explore the whats, whys, and hows of your life. We develop therapy goals centered around your input, readiness, and areas of need. I coach you through evidence-based treatment methods that I tailor for you based on your personality, life circumstances, and strengths. Each therapy session provides you with an opportunity for awareness, growth, ability, and hope.

Even in our darkest hours, one question can hold us back from starting therapy… Will it work? I’m happy to report there is good reason to believe that therapy can help. Modern psychology is a profession informed by science.

Health care research tells us that:
  1. Health happens in body and mind. Mental health will influence physical health, and vice versa. We need to seek wellness in both areas to live our best way.

  2. Mental health is powerful and incredibly important, without exception. It is not second place to physical health. Emotions, thoughts, and behaviors are all part of mental health, and research informs us how to best take care of these areas. They all need care and attention because they all matter, and each one is connected to the other.

  3. Change can be small but mighty. Positive adjustments in mental health will benefit other areas of living, especially when evidence-based methods are personalized and practiced.
